If Your Book or Gift Needs to Come Home

Sometimes, even the most carefully chosen book or gift realises it was meant to take a different path.

When that happens, we’re here to help — calmly, kindly, and with the same care we put into sending it to you in the first place.

This guide explains how to return an item to us if it needs to find its way back home.


When a Return Is Needed

You have 30 days from the day your parcel arrives to request a return. To come home to us, your item must be in the same condition it left — unused, unworn, with tags attached, and in its original packaging. A receipt or proof of purchase helps us locate its story in our system.

To begin, simply email us at pageturnering@gmail.com. We’ll guide you gently from there.


How the Return Journey Works

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you:

  • a return shipping label

  • clear instructions on where and how to send your parcel

Please note: items sent back without first requesting a return can’t be accepted — we want to make sure everything travels safely and correctly.

If Something Arrives Damaged or Not Quite Right

We understand how disappointing it can be when a parcel arrives with an unexpected flaw. If your item is damaged, defective, or not what you ordered, please contact us as soon as you can. A short video or photo taken when opening the parcel is incredibly helpful — it allows us to understand what happened and make things right quickly.


Items That Cannot Come Home

Some items are unable to be returned due to their nature. These include:

  • perishable goods (food, flowers, plants)

  • custom or personalised items

  • personal care goods

  • hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases

We also cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards. If you’re unsure about a specific item, feel free to ask — we’re always happy to help.


Exchanges

If you’d like something different, the quickest way is to return the item you have. Once your return is accepted, you can place a new order for the item you’d prefer.


For Our Friends in the European Union

If your order is shipped into the EU, you have a 14‑day cooling‑off period. Within those 14 days, you may cancel or return your order for any reason. Items must still be in their original, unused condition with tags and packaging intact, and you’ll need your proof of purchase.


Refunds

Once your return arrives, we’ll inspect it with care and let you know whether the refund has been approved. If approved, your refund will be sent back to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Banks and card providers may take a little extra time to process the refund on their end — this part is out of our hands, but it usually resolves quickly.

If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your refund, please contact us at pageturnering@gmail.com so we can look into it for you.
